Product Protection
If something should  happen, you're covered. For a long, long, long time. Details:
General Motors will warrant powertrains on 2008 and newer: Chevy, Buick, Pontiac, GMC, Cadillac, Hummer and Saturn passenger cars, light duty trucks or vans for fully backed, 5 years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first. This warranty will have no deductible, starting from the original in-service date of the vehicle, for warrantable repairs which are required as a result of defects due to material and/or workmanship to the Powertrain components as listed below:   
 
Engine:
Cylinder head, block, timing gears, timing chain, timing cover, oil pump/oil pump housing, OHC carriers, valve covers, oil pan, seals, gaskets, turbocharger, supercharger and all internal lubricated parts as well as manifolds, flywheel, water pump, harmonic balancer and engine mount. Timing belts are covered until the first scheduled maintenance interval.

Transmission/Transaxle/ Transfer Case:
Case, all internal lubricated parts, torque converter, transfer case, transmission/transaxle mounts, seals, and gaskets.

Drive Systems:
Final drive housing, all internal lubricated parts, axle shafts, constant velocity joints, axle housing, propeller shafts, universal joints, wheel bearings, locking hubs, front differential actuator, supports, seals and gaskets.

Courtesy Transportation Program:
During the warranty coverage period, alternate transportation and/or reimbursement of certain transportation expenses will be available under the Courtesy Transportation Program if your vehicle requires warranty repairs. Several transportation options are available. Refer to your Owners Manual for details, including reservation of rights, or consult your dealer/retailer.

Roadside Assistance Program:
General Motors is proud to offer the response, security, and convenience of the 24-hour Roadside Assistance Program for a period of 5 years or 100,000 miles/160,000 kms., whichever comes first. Refer to your Owner Manual for details, or consult your dealer/retailer. The Roadside Assistance contact information is listed in the Customer Assistance Offices section of the Warranty and Owner Assistance Information booklet.

What Is Not Covered:
All the above items are not covered for damage due to accident, misuse, alteration, insufficient or improper maintenance, contaminated or poor quality fuel. OnStar is standard for 1 year on almost every GM vehicle.
Vehicle Value Protection
There's a reason you've never seen this before. It's never been done. Purchase and finance any eligible new 2008, 2009 or 2010 GM vehicle, and you can receive up to $2,500 (on a sale) or up to $5,000 (on a trade-in) if you owe more on your vehicle loan than its retail value when you decide to make your next GM purchase.That's total confidence that your vehicle's value is being protected.

The Vehicle Value Protection Program is provided by ServicePlan, Inc.
Purchase any eligible new 2008, 2009 or 2010 GM vehicle from a participating GM dealer in the United States by April 30, 2009. Only Saab vehicles, medium duty and heavy duty trucks are excluded.

Vehicle Value Protection does not apply to leases or balloon payment financing.

Then, make your loan payments for at least half of the original term. After that, if you want to buy another GM vehicle, just compare your principal loan balance (not including interest or any refunds on other products/services that were part of your vehicle loan) to the NADA clean retail price for your vehicle. If you owe more than the vehicle is worth, Vehicle Value Protection will help make up the difference.

If you trade your vehicle in to the dealer and pay off the loan, you can recover the difference up to $5,000. If you sell your vehicle in a private sale and pay off the loan, you can recover the difference up to $2,500.

If your original vehicle loan was for more than 110% of the vehicle MSRP, Vehicle Value Protection won't cover the excess.
Maximum Finance Term: Up to 72 months.

Payment Protection
No one can see what the future holds.So we extend protection for many miles down the road. Finance or lease any eligible new 2008, 2009 or 2010 GM vehicle, and if you should lose your income during the first two years of ownership, GM will make your payments for up to $500/month for up to 9 months.* That's total confidence that GM is behind you all the way.

The Payment Protection Program is provided by cynoSure Financial, Inc.

Purchase or lease any eligible new 2008, 2009 or 2010 GM vehicle from a participating GM dealer in the United States by April 30, 2009. Only Saab vehicles, medium duty and heavy duty trucks are excluded.

You have to be employed when you buy the vehicle and remain employed for 90 more days.

Then, if you lose your job due to economic conditions during the next 21 months you are eligible for benefits. If you lose your job for other reasons, you may not be covered.


You are not eligible if you are an active GM employee, a seasonal worker, are self-employed, retired or receiving a severance.
